We’re delighted to announce that we won the Shaftesbury Business Award for Innovation!
When you think of innovation, Martial Arts are probably the last thing you think of, but we do make an effort. We aim to not only unite the various styles of Taekwon-do, but also use technology to allow instructors to focus on what they do best!
Like many others we have a custom website with a shop, event tickets and timetable. However, behind that we’ve built our very own custom student management system. It allows us to track attendance, free trials, uniform orders, memberships, licensing, permissions, medical needs, etc. There’s a members area where we’re adding videos exclusive to each grade and a progress tracker where the students/parents can see personalised feedback and objectives. Our mobile app is nearly finished too. For instructors there’s a clever lesson planning tool that I’m gradually filling up with fun activities! The whole system has been made in a way that we can rent it to other clubs and another local club has just started using it today.
