We said on day 1 that we wanted to be accredited by Sport England under the Safeguarding Code for Martial Arts.
Not only have we achieved this before our first lesson, but we’ve gone one further!
We are proud to announce that we have achieved the “School of Excellence” standard for the Club Colours programme. This award is only given to a select number of clubs nationwide. It demonstrates that our Instructors have undergone rigorous verification and that our team have comprehensive training and policies.
As part of our efforts we’ve undergone or are under-going training on:
- Martial Arts specific First Aid
- Specialist concussion and head injury course
- Level 3 safeguarding DSL
- Trauma Informed Coaching
- Governing Body Instructor Qualifications (on top of previous)
- SENCO Training
- Knife crime and serious youth violence training
- Mental Health First Aid
- Basic BSL Training
