Some of our students travelled to Bristol for the EMAP British Opens, organised by our mentor Grandmaster Jones and Grandmaster Deedigan.
Being quite a new club, most our students weren’t up for it, but we managed to get 10 students together, one was a little late booking so was on the waiting list. We didn’t manage to get a proper team photo as the day was manic, but we’ll update this post with lots of pictures next week when the event photographers release them. The photo attached are the team members that came in the Dragon Wagon (mini-bus).
Naturally we’d love to come home with medals, but we ensure that it’s a low pressure situation for all our students and the fact that they’re even there makes them all winners in our eyes.
That being said, our team managed to come home with 7 medals!
